5. Research and Outreach

Like most biological processes, aquatic plant management is constantly evolving. Uses and conditions within waters change requiring managers to continually adapt. Section 5 provides links to more than 85,000 articles on file at the University of Florida, Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants website related to aquatic plants and their management.

FWC and UF have a strong educational commitment to develop and provide free materials to teachers at all grade levels as well as training programs for aquatic plant managers. These curricula are prepared with input from teachers and managers to meet needs and comply with Florida standards and benchmarks. Information on all aspects of aquatic plant management is available to stakeholders in a variety of formats from FWC and UF.
