The Florida Aquatic Plant Management Society (FAPMS) publishes the quarterly Aquatics magazine for members of all chapters of the national Aquatic Plant Management Society. The magazine is intended primarily for professional aquatic plant managers who work in the field using any or all control methods legally available. All issues of Aquatics magazine except for the current issue are online at the FAPMS website under the Publications tab. The charter issue was published in Spring 1979.

The mission of FAPMS is “To Preserve Florida’s Aquatic Heritage.” FAPMS was formed in 1976 and provides a forum for those interested in aquatic plant management to meet, discuss and exchange ideas and information. The Society has more than 400 members as of September 2012.
