Scenic Postcard Slideshow
The following postcards gathered by Jeff Schardt (FWC) depict scenes from Florida waters from the turn of the last century through the mid 1900s. Most are scenic representations of early travel or aquatic destinations of visitors to Florida, including tourists' impressions of vast fields of flowering water hyacinth – a beautiful sight to first time visitors – a bane to water resource managers.
