Dichondra carolinensis is a flowering, perennial, herbaceous plant.
Carolina pony’s foot is commonly found in moist hammocks, floodplain forests, and disturbed sites throughout Florida. It blooms from spring to fall (Wunderlin, 2003).
It is located throughout the southeastern United States (Kartesz, 1999).
