This flowery white vine is native to Florida. It is common throughout Florida’s floodplain forests, riverbanks, pond margins and coastal swales (Wunderlin, 2003). It blooms all year.

Climbing hempweed is found from Texas to Illinois to Ontario and points south (Kartesz, 1999).
