Pink wood sorrel is an escaped exotic ornamental plant that is now found throughout Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). It is native to tropical America. Pink wood sorrel flowers from spring through fall.
There are about 30 species of Oxalis in the U.S., with 6 in Florida. A number of them are not native to the U.S. (Kartesz, 1999).
