There are about a dozen species of meadow-beauty native to Florida. This species, savannah meadow-beauty, occasionally occurs in the savannas, flatwoods and bogs from the northern counties south to Orange county (Wunderlin, 2003). This species is also found in the coastal states of the southeastern U.S. from North Carolina to Texas (Kartesz, 1999). It blooms from spring through summer.
