Vitis rotundifolia is found in wet to dry hammocks and scrub. It is common nearly throughout the state of Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). Vitis rotundifolia blooms in the spring and is equally likely to occur in wetlands or non-wetlands (estimated probability 34%-66%).
Muscadine grape is located in over 17 states along the east coast of the United States (Kartesz, 1999).
